1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the SafePal app, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and any additional guidelines or rules we may provide. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

SafePal is a security companion app available in Nigeria that enables users to report incidents and trigger SOS alerts to their emergency contacts. The app operates on iOS and Android devices and is designed to enhance personal safety.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use SafePal.
  • By using the app, you confirm you are a resident of Nigeria and agree to comply with all applicable Nigerian laws, including the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).

4. Account Registration

  • To use certain features (e.g., SOS alerts), you may need to create an account with a valid email address and phone number.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

5. Payment and Subscription

  • SafePal offers a free version with core features (incident reporting and SOS alerts).
  • Optional premium features (e.g., advanced analytics, priority support) are available through a subscription plan. Prices are listed in Nigerian Naira (NGN) and subject to change.
  • Payments are processed via third-party payment providers, and all transactions are subject to their terms.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your device settings.

6. Use of the App

You may use SafePal for personal safety purposes only, as intended.

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for illegal activities or to harass others.
  • Submit false incident reports or misuse the SOS feature.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or modify the app’s code.

SafePal may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, logos, and code within SafePal are owned by [Your Company Name] or its licensors and are protected by Nigerian and international copyright laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from SafePal without prior written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

SafePal is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including delays in SOS alerts due to network issues or user error.

Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app (if any) within the last 12 months.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to SafePal at our discretion, with or without cause, and with or without notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the app ends, and you must cease all use. Any data you provided may be deleted, subject to our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes will be resolved in courts located in Nigeria.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of SafePal after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
